The Greenwood Ave. Farmers Market is authorized by the State of New Jersey to accept SNAP/EBT, WIC, FMNP and SFMNP benefits and vouchers for all acceptable items. Customers using these benefits can take advantage of the following FREE matching dollar programs:

Good Food Bucks SNAP-Doubling Program:
In partnership with City Green, for every SNAP dollar used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, we’ll double your dollars to purchase more fresh fruits and vegetables, up to $20 per market day.

Greenwood Green:
Dollar for dollar benefit matching program sponsored by the Capital YMCA for any item purchased using SNAP, WIC, FMNP and SFMNP vouchers, up to $20 per market day.

This means a $20 purchase can potentially turn into a $60 purchase!

What can I purchase with my benefits?

NJ SNAP benefits can be used to purchase:

Fruits and vegetables
Meats, fish and poultry
Dairy products
Baked goods
Rice, bread, tortillas and cereal
Beans, seeds and plants that produce food

NJ Snap benefits cannot be used to buy:

Hot and prepared food, meals or beverages
Alcohol, tobacco or cigarettes
Non-food items such as household items, toiletries
Vitamins and medicine

WIC / FMNP /SFMNP vouchers can be used to purchase fruits, vegetables and herbs.

What if I don’t spend all of the Good Food Bucks and/or Greenwood Green the day I receive them?

Not to worry! Both matching incentive vouchers are valid until the last market day of the season they are distributed. Vouchers issued during the 2021 market season are valid until Monday, October 11th.
